The Power of Positivity

I want to be a voice of Positivity.

I recently stopped working with what was my best friends in high school on a project over the last month. It’s not because they are assholes or they tried to fuck me over. The reason I stopped associating myself is because I felt a wave of depression, and negativity that I couldn’t ignore. I want to be a positive influence on the community that watches or reads my content. I hope that the reason that people come back and support me is because of the feeling I bring into my videos as well as my writing. Moving forward will be difficult after walking away from friendships with my two best friends that I knew for over ten years each, but I feel that this is the right step to bettering myself, and creating better content for all of you.

Those of you that know me will know I’m a fan of the World of Professional Wrestling. Ever since I’ve gotten back into it: Mid-Last Year. I’ve become a huge fan of Longest Reigning Tag-Team Champions, The New Day. I’ve always been a fan of Kofi, and actually liked Xavier Woods from his youtube Channel Up,Up,Down,Down before I knew he was a part of the WWE’s talent pool. I like the new day for a lot of reasons but the biggest one is their mantra of P.O.P or the Power of Positivity! That no matter what; the power of staying Positive against all odds will help you overcome all adversities.

I first heard of this belief in a different way. From the Old Cherokee Legend of the War between the White and Grey Wolf. I’ve been trying to live my life with this in mind, and I hope you all will take it into consideration.

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A war is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible war and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee smiled and simply replied, “The one you choose to feed.”

It’s hard to remember sometimes that we are in control of our of emotions and attitudes. Just remember that nothing can outshine the power of positivity. Thanks for reading my Personal blog, and I hope to hear from you soon.
